Colour Impact: Pigment Developments in Thermoplastic Compounds

In the latest issue of Compounding World, Jennifer Markarian reports on the latest products that aim for high visual appeal with a lower environmental impact in thermoplastic compounds. Colour requirements in this space are becoming increasing technical and complex. Regulatory requirements are also influencing the pigments that can be used. Jennifer reports on several companies, including Shepherd Color, in the thermoplastic compounds space, and what they are doing to boost offerings.

One such offering is Shepherd Color’s Arctic IR black pigments that can be used in black food containers, where the pigments meet NIR-sortability criteria for recycling facilities.
