Quality is one of the fundamental pillars upon which we base our business. Our goal is for you to achieve consistent color in your process - batch after batch, year after year.

Our product consistency is outstanding - but that doesn't mean we are satisfied. Shepherd Color has been using statistical process control for more than ten years and we continue to expand this capability. For example, we have installed data-acquisition instrumentation to capture our process variables, and we record and analyze this data for each lot produced. Our Current Best Approach team scrutinizes every operational process and then determines the best practice for standardization.

You can have the highest confidence in our quality data. Extensively trained chemists in our Quality Assurance laboratory use carefully screened test methods to get the most reproducible results. Periodic reviews of these methods often lead to improvements, diminishing the last traces of variability and operator dependence.

We run each color test on each lot side-by- side with a standard. This takes a bit longer, and costs a bit more, but you can be sure that slight variations in testing materials will not affect the ultimate color of the material you receive.
